Bar Mattachine

Bar Mattachine 5stars

Great bar with very cute mixologists.
Went for brunch and the chef cooks right on the patio! Small but good menu.
Had a great Manhattan and a blackberry martini that wasn’t on the menu.
Clean, crisp design and an overall nice space to have a drink.

Redline 5stars

  • Music selection on Friday and Saturday night! Old school hip hop and R&B always gets me grooving to the beat!
  • Crowd gets hype and can get pretty crowded
  • Girl’s bathroom is also short!

Club Tempo 5stars

When you do find some very good looking brown cowboy he’s usually partnered up, but everyone is super chill so don’t feel afraid to go up and talk to someone.

Three different music rooms. The downstairs vaquero/ranchero/paisa room has a live band on weekends. Sunday is the best night to get a taste of the variety offered here. Definitely bring your buddies and have a good time. (Your lesbian friends would have fun here too!)

LOS ANGELES GAY CLUBS – BAR MATTACHINE REVIEW

Anytime I’m smiling & laughing & lose track of time, it can only mean I’m having a blast AND that is exactly what happened at Bar Mattachine.

Our group of 4 meandered over here on a weekday night for a night cap.  Bar has a nice decor and although we found communal seating downstairs, I wanted to move upstairs to grab a more intimate table.  SO GLAD I DID.  Little did I know, we were about to see the Live Performance of Jackie Beat, “World’s  Biggest Bitch.”  Fun & Hilarious, this was such an unexpected good time.   The crowd was loving the familiar pop tunes w/vamped up bawdy lyrics and the interaction (she would pull people on stage).

With all this going on, a server still came around and got me another drink through the crowd.  Awesome!  I didn’t want to leave and miss anything.

Also, spoke to a couple guys next to me because their cocktails looked good and they said they were Excellent, but I think you have to order downstairs so I didn’t get to try one.  Next time…

Would have stayed much longer, but one member of our party was “responsible” and reminded us we had to get going.  BOOOOOO!  I’ll have to come back.Anytime I’m smiling & laughing & lose track of time, it can only mean I’m having a blast AND that is exactly what happened at Bar Mattachine.
